Overview
Apiquill is a product design concept for apiary records. Beekeepers need visit notes to stay attached to the correct hive and date as records accumulate. The scope connects four activities: apiary plan, visit notebook, season ledger, equipment store. Each has a dedicated screen, with a spatial apiary board with hive cards and field-note drawer establishing the visual direction. The work includes interface composition, proposed feature architecture and industry-specific showcase imagery.

Four original apiary records interface concepts. Records, technical values and depicted workflows are illustrative.
Challenge
Beekeepers need visit notes to stay attached to the correct hive and date as records accumulate. A useful workspace must preserve the connection between the original reference, the selected record and the discussion around a change. Showing more information alone would not resolve that handoff.
- Keep hive identifiers and visit dates connected to the selected work.
- Make equipment references visible at the point where decisions are reviewed.
- Retain season history and attachment library through the handoff.
Solution
The design starts with a spatial apiary board with hive cards and field-note drawer. Locate fictional hives on an apiary layout and inspect visit summaries. The remaining views separate exploration, coordination and review into layouts suited to their content. A honey amber, charcoal and cream palette gives the product its own visual identity, while selected-record panels keep details close to the working surface.
- Locate fictional hives on an apiary layout and inspect visit summaries.
- Record observational notes with hive photographs and dated attachments.
- Review administrative visit history and equipment references on a timeline.
- Browse hive equipment records with location and allocation notes.
